Wolverine

Wolverine was born in 1883 in Rockford, Michigan. The company made the original boots that were worn when the railroads, erect skyscrapers and expand highways across America. They reached a historic mile when in 1914, Wolverine introduced the footwear line 1000 Mile Boot®, setting the standard for durable footwear.

In 1991, they introduced the first in a long line of modern day comfort systems with the launch of Wolverine DuraShocks®. The company has built upon the original Wolverine DuraShocks tradition with a long line of proprietary comfort systems that include Wolverine DuraShocks SR®, Wolverine Fusion®, Wolverine Compressor®, Wolverine MultiShox®, Wolverine MX®, and the most recent introduction, Wolverine Contour Welt®.

They may not be the most the slim-line range of shoes, but they work! They are fantastic for wider feet; have a two-sole-density; are sturdy; and because of the DuraShock® innersole, are fantastic for jobs that require a lot of standing or walking.
