Duckfeet’s characteristic foot-formed design allows room for the toes, and air to reach the feet. The leather used for the midsoles and uppers give the skin permission to breathe and naturally transports moisture away from the foot.
The leather is strong and flexible, therefore it is the shoe that forms to the foot, rather than the foot to the shoe. The midsole in all models is made of 100% vegetable tanned leather. The outer sole’s crepe rubber is naturally shock-absorbent. This is comfortable for the feet and gentle for the whole body.
Duckfeet are manufactured in the traditional way in Denmark. The shoe is built up over a last, which demand great skill and arm strength to be able to make shoes from such a strong leather. The sole is then stitched firmly to the shaft with a hand sewing machine. In this way, every pair of shoes or boots come into contact with many experience hands before that are put in the box.
